This is a plea for help with young women's camp. Yes, I got the coveted calling (or something like that). Our theme is BOOT Camp (Building Our Own Testimonies). I know the location and that's about it right now. So I'm asking for ideas from those of you who have been involved in girls camp. What did you do for firesides? What are some cute fun things I can do seeing as I'm less than creative and cute. Any tips would be helpful. I know I can count on you all!

I seriously think that is a fun calling!! I love girl's camp. Here's what I've learned in my few short years with YW...It doesn't need to be craftsy and cutesy. There's books at Deseret Book with ideas on all sorts of things for YW from camp themes, crafts, etc. etc. Oriental Trading comes in VERY handy for crafts/accessories/etc. etc. Plus, where your theme is BOOT camp, a trip to the Army/Navy store may be very useful. Another thing I've learned, is that it's not worth the stress of crafts because most of them don't make it home in one piece so I'd recommend coming up with something that can be used during camp, i.e. on the hike, or in a skit. Hopefully, that helps....Good Luck!

you should call my mom, she's been to girls camp many a time, she's actually stake young womens president right now and I think they actually did a boot camp once.
