New York Part 2

We happened to be in NYC on Palm Sunday, so I thought it would be a good opportunity to take the girls to a different church to see what they do.  We went to a catholic church a few blocks away.  They lit incense, sprinkled holy water on us, and then we got to do a procession to our seats.  Then we listened to the liturgy (I think that's what it's called).  This was cool, but also long.  Probably not the girls' favorite part of the trip, but I thought it was a good experience.

We rode bikes in Central Park.  We loved not walking for a second.  Central Park is so pretty and fun to see.  Our last day in the city we went to the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and the 9/11 museum.  All of which was super cool to see.  Sage walked out of the 9/11 museum and was like, "wo, that was heavy."  Yes.  But she actually enjoyed this museum, so that's a win.

Our last night in the city we experienced the prom dress miracle.  Kate got asked to prom the first day of our trip.  We were going to get home less than a week before prom.  Needless to say, I was a bit stressed about how we were going to find a dress.  In the back of my mind I wondered about getting one in NY, but so far we'd seen nothing.  We decided to go to a yummy burger place for dinner.  On the way we passed Macey's and Kate and I were like, wait a second.  They might have prom dresses.  We ate dinner and went back to check it out.  They had so many prom dresses.  It was amazing.  Kate was able to try a ton on and figure out what she liked.  We ended up getting it shipped to our house so it was waiting for us when we got home.  The only alterations it needed was raising the hem.  Easy peasy.  We were so grateful to find the dress, and how fun to find it in NYC!  Sage was like, "can we come here for my prom dresses?"  No Sage.  No we cannot.

We went to the top of Summit One Vanderbilt.  Sage loved it, Kate was terrified.
