You cannot stay on the summit forever;
You have to come down again.
So why bother in the first place?
Just this:
What is above knows what is below,
But what is below does not know what is above.
One climbs, on sees.
One descends, one sees no longer,
But one HAS SEEN
There is an art of conducting oneself by the memory of what one saw higher up.
When one can no longer see, one can at least know.

Love that cute Sage!!!!
I just had to let you know that you were on my mind tonight. We are building a home in Farmington and have moved into your father's stake. I went to stake conference a few weeks ago with a heavy heart and lots of questions. While there were many wonderful messages, your father's talk touched me especially. I loved his idea of becoming "servicable in the kingdom". Sometimes gaining the experience and compassion necessary to truly be of use to the Lord comes at a high cost. Being tempered can be painful. But somehow I know that becoming "well acquainted with grief" has and will continue to change me for good. What a journey it is.
Thanks for your love and support. I know you too have known heartache and - though I wouldn't wish it upon anyone - it is comforting to know I am not alone.
